Animal Care Supervisors at NOCO Humane are responsible for the daily care of animals in the Shelter (including cats, dogs, small mammals, exotic pets and barnyard animals). This is full-time working supervisor position reporting to our Shelter Supervisors. Incumbents train and supervise approximately eight to ten Animal Care Technicians and Animal Care Assistants in animal care and feeding, animal facility cleaning, disease control and safety protocols and more. There is a significant amount of animal interaction and handling required. Must have supervisory skills and solid emotional intelligence, work ethics and integrity skills. Participates in Shelter Team, Shelter Supervisor and Supervisor/Manager meetings and is actively engaged in setting schedules, reviewing workflow and suggesting and implementing improvements. Supervises assigned volunteers including community service volunteers. The position includes pet end of life tasks. Education and experience requirements include a minimum of an Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience, one year of proven staff supervisory experience or NOCO Humane lead experience. Regular work schedules are five days a week, including one weekend day, and shift hours are generally between 7:30AM and 7:30PM weekdays and 7:30AM and 5:30PM weekends. Overtime and holiday work will be required as needed. Must be able to work a flexible and changing schedule and model expected behavior.
