Summary
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Facilities team and third party vendors regarding maintaining the buildings and grounds of the Campus. Additionally, monitor third party contracts to ensuring contractual obligations are being enforced and the relationships with third party vendors and suppliers are in harmony.
The Operations Supervisor will report to the Director of Operations to advise, develop, and implement goals to maintain the day-to-day operations. The Operations Supervisor will have thorough understanding of equipment used by the Campus and Emergency Response Protocols. The Operations Supervisor will possess the ability to manage, staff and vendors, to implement directives from the Director of Operations. The goal is to create and preserve an environment where employees, partner agencies, visitors, clients, can focus on the goals and mission of the Campus
The Work You Will Do To End Homelessness
- Ensure the efficient operations of maintenance of all facilities and equipment, including the allocation of capital assets.
- Conduct frequent campus inspections of property and assets to ensure Campus is in good physical operating condition. This includes Campus buildings, parking lots, entrance gates, fences and landscapes, etc.
- Assist in developing specifications, seeking bids, and coordinating various capital projects with Director of Operations.
- Assign, monitor and ensure completion of requested WO’s and Supply deliveries within a timely manner.
- Assist in assessing equipment needs and reviewing equipment acquisitions.
- Work in connection with Campus partner’s management teams in keeping up to date with all-Campus events.
- Ensure contracted vendors are adhering to scopes outlined in Campus contracts.
- Assist with physical examinations of property to ensure compliance with cleanliness, lease, and safety regulations.
- Verify all safety egress areas are clear and functional at all times.
- Ensure facilities staff are trained and up to date on skills need to complete projects for Campus or Campus partners, and as needed train Team Members with skills needed to complete the job.
- Coordinate the training and onboarding process for facilities personnel through mentorship, and support.
- Work with Director of Operations to create performance reviews for all Facilities staff. Organize training processes and requirements for Facilities staff to ensure Facilities team meets requirements necessary for the Campus to operate in a controlled and productive manner.
- Ensure all Facilities employee training documents and files are completed to ensure Facilities is updated on all compliance related issues, as well as, current trends that are happening in the Facilities and Maintenance industry.
- Manage all purchasing of facility and operations supplies and materials, ensuring appropriate inventory levels.
- Complete fleet inspections including forklift (weekly) and coordinating any services needed.
- Oversee the set up and tear down of events, in support of other in support of other departments and partners.
- Additional duties as assigned.
You Are Good Fit If You Have the Following
- Minimum five years of professional experience, with at least five years’ experience in relevant role.
- Proficient in effective writing and communication skills.
- Experience in implementation, evaluation and strategic planning.
- The ability to communicate with individuals from varied socio-economic backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidential information with high standards.
- Confident understanding of a Campus setting.
- Experience working with underserved or disadvantaged populations, harm reduction models and de-escalation.
