Stonehenge of South Jordan is seeking an experienced Recreation/Activities Director to plan, organize and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department program to provide for the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident. The Recreation/Activities Director will participate in the implementation of activity social care plans and resident assessments for the facility. Some of the activities this position would conduct for our residents include playing games, making crafts, doing art projects, providing movie nights, planning parties, arranging for entertainment/performers, organizing service projects, visiting with residents, decorating for holidays, etc. If you enjoy having fun and helping others to have fun, this position could be right for you! · Must possess an active Therapeutic Recreation Specialist license by the state of Utah and preferred to have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as an activities professional in a health care setting.
· Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and government regulators, and to work cooperatively with other associates at all levels.
· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, and be able to communicate effectively through written reports, e-mail, and phone calls.
· Must be able to pass all background checks as required to work with protected populations.
