NASC GLOBAL is undertaking a confidential search on behalf of a distinguished client seeking an Onsite Director of the OP Cancer Center in Missoula, Montana. This pivotal leadership role is essential for steering the clinical direction, quality outcomes, and financial sustainability of the Oncology service line.
The compensation package range is $105,000 – $120,000, contingent on work experience, education, certification and leadership skills, plus benefits are included.
Position Summary:
The Director of OP Cancer Center will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality cancer care while balancing clinical acumen with effective leadership. This multifaceted position encompasses a house-wide responsibility, necessitating collaboration across disciplines and a focus on service excellence. The director will engage with a variety of healthcare professionals, including physicians, to foster a culture of continuous improvement and development within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the Oncology department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and efficient service operations
- Financial Stewardship: Monitor and enhance the financial health of the Oncology service line, optimizing resource allocation in alignment with organizational objectives
- Team Management: Lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, promoting collaboration and professional growth
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations and implement best practices in service delivery
- Process Improvement: Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical outcomes through effective project management and process optimization
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and healthcare staff to uphold high standards of care and foster positive team dynamics
- Operational Management: Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and scheduling to ensure the Oncology department’s operational success
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Licensure: Active RN license in the State of Montana
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of clinical RN experience and five (5) years in a leadership role
- Continuing Education: Completion of leadership courses through continuing education conferences
- Skillset: Demonstrated success in team building, collaboration with physicians, project management, and process improvement initiatives
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English
Technical Proficiency Skills:
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Familiarity with healthcare management software
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities
- Knowledge of patient care quality metrics and performance improvement tools
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, Leadership/Management, or a related healthcare field
- Leadership Development: Advanced leadership training through conferences or continuing education
Preferred Certifications:
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
- Certified in Healthcare Management (CHM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Advanced Practice Nurse Certification (if applicable)
- Lean Six Sigma Certification.
