Capacity Planner gathers performance data and measures the output of a department or unit to determine achievement or variance with production schedules. Produces reports that evaluate plant capacity and identify areas where improvements can be implemented. Being a Capacity Planner requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Capacity Planner gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
