Capacity Planning Supervisor leads a capacity planning team to plan and monitor an organization's operating limits and capacities. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to align with production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planning Supervisor identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders to understand future plans and develop responsive capacity forecasting. Additionally, Capacity Planning Supervisor utilizes production metrics and manufacturing research to develop insights on processes or equipment and recommend improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Capacity Planning Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Capacity Planning Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The American Indian Program Supervisor exists in the Office of American Indian Health (OAIH) in the Health Equity Bureau to lead, coordinate, and manage multiple OAIH grants with Tribal governments and urban American Indian organizations in Minnesota. Grant programs and funding cycles are dynamic and evolving. Current OAIH grant programs include American Indian Special Emphasis Grant, Foundational Public Health Responsibilities Grant, Tribal Public Health Infrastructure Grants, Urban Health Equity Grant, and Tribal Block Grants. These funding programs are related to planning core public health functions and work to reduce American Indian health disparities and health inequities. American Indian communities and OAIH grantees include Tribal governments, urban American Indian agencies, and their staff.
