Capacity Planning Supervisor leads a capacity planning team to plan and monitor an organization's operating limits and capacities. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to align with production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planning Supervisor identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders to understand future plans and develop responsive capacity forecasting. Additionally, Capacity Planning Supervisor utilizes production metrics and manufacturing research to develop insights on processes or equipment and recommend improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Capacity Planning Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Capacity Planning Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Manager to oversee our general operations of the tax, van, non-emergency medical, and Red Apple Transit transportation programs, known as Let's Go. (Formerly titled, Lou Go's). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the logistics of our fleet, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services, and maintaining compliance with safety and FTA regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a strategic mindset to optimize transportation processes.

    Duties

    • Develop and implement transportation strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Manage the daily operations of the transport team, ensuring all deliveries are executed on time.
    • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless logistics operations.
    • Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Analyze transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Train, mentor, and evaluate transport staff to enhance performance and productivity.
    • Prepare reports on transportation metrics for management review.
    • Ensure adherence to all legal requirements related to transport operations.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a Transport Manager or in a similar role within logistics or supply chain management.
    • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Proficient in using transport management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional leadership qualities with effective communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings.
    • A valid driver's license is preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an advantage.
