Capacity Planning Supervisor leads a capacity planning team to plan and monitor an organization's operating limits and capacities. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to align with production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Being a Capacity Planning Supervisor identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity. Coordinates with internal stakeholders to understand future plans and develop responsive capacity forecasting. Additionally, Capacity Planning Supervisor utilizes production metrics and manufacturing research to develop insights on processes or equipment and recommend improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Capacity Planning Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Capacity Planning Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. General Description:
The Senior Analyst supports the merchandise planning process by providing strategic insights, category analysis, and financial analysis to
the merchandise teams. This role will also provide 7-11 leadership with timely business, strategic and financial analysis to facilitate sound
business decisions, including analysis of key strategic initiative projects that contribute to increasing profitable sales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform internal and external analysis, including but not limited to, retail, consumer, economic and overall category trends to provide
leadership on category plans and strategic decisions. Translating data from various sources into meaningful summaries, insights,
presentations and strategic recommendations for stakeholders. Prepare materials to be utilized in management decks to support
communication of merchandise strategies throughout the organization, assessing both internal strategies and the external environment to
deliver new business insights. Perform ad hoc strategic analyses/research and provide senior leadership support, to assist in decision
making and development of actionable strategies. Conduct analysis and verification of strategic priority projects, including strategic financial
evaluations and business opportunity profitability analyses.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: Masters N/A Experience: 2-3, Strategic Business Analysis, Category Analysis, CPG. Strong problem solving ability with a
strategic mindset (internal or external).. Extensive business analysis experience: superior analytical capability with the ability to understand
implications, see the big picture, and develop and defend a point of view.. Strong written and verbal communications, including the ability to
create presentations for senior leadership.. Comfort with partnering with and communicating cross-functionally and at all levels of the
