Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading capital projects for the North Bend Facility. This entails the procurement of people (contractors and subcontractors), equipment, materials and managing the construction of the project while minimizing the disruption during normal operations. All health, safety and environmental requirements must be maintained during the project period.
Responsibilities:
* Lead, prepare, plan, control and track the capital project activities
* Prepare Appropriation Request (AR) of the Company’s investment objectives; Supervise the engineering and site construction works related to the approved investments in accordance with health, safety, environmental and financial regulation.
* Prepare, plan, control and manage new capital projects (AR), equipment modifications and small projects in the capital plant.
* Coordinate and prepare the yearly and five years Capital Expenditure Budgets with all CTC departments’ necessities.
* Manage the “AR” during the approval process.
* Discover and apply the current technology
* Harmonize of the capital project with the authority
* Tack all metrics related to the capital project (man hours, capital equipment costs, labor, safety record and etc.)
* Supervise contractors during the capital projects achievement.
* Controls adherence to schedules, maximizing employee utilization and results, including overseeing activities of all contractors
* To continually assess and suggest improvement s to contractor processes, procedural efficiency and effectiveness
* To guarantee that health, safety and environmental regulations are understood and used correctly by all contractors and employees by law and by Birla Carbon.
* Liaise with plant management team on a daily basis in order to minimize operational disruption
* Provide daily updates and plans to GM and additional team members as needed.
* Direct all aspects of the engineering and construction activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in project management
- Strong knowledge of project processes, techniques, and materials
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders
