  • POSITION SUMMARY: Serve as pilot in command of corporate aircraft to transport personnel, equipment and supplies to various locations under day, night, and instrument conditions; and conducts flights in accordance with FAA, ICAO, and company regulations. This position is ministry related located in Greenville, SC in support of a non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain expert knowledge of assigned aircraft, Approved Flight Manual (AFM), aviation regulations, policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of readiness and professionalism as a pilot.
    • Verify aircraft weight and balance and performance to ensure that flight is operated within all limitations.
    • Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post flight inspections per Flight Department policy to ensure safe operations.
    • Obtain all available preflight information including fuel requirements, current and forecast weather conditions for departures, enroute, arrival, and alternate airports, traffic delays and interpret that information to ensure safe and efficient operation of proposed flights.
    • Verify aircraft airworthiness.
    • Ensure the aircraft is clean (interior and exterior) and stocked with provisions either at or away from home base including aircraft lavatory service. Assist in hangar cleaning as necessary.
    • Ensure flight plans are filed in accordance with FAA and Flight Department policies.
    • Greet passengers and coordinate any special needs or requests. Load and unload all passenger baggage and cargo.
    • Ensure passengers have received required safety briefing.
    • Ensure that all required pilot certificates are current before exercising privileges.
    • Log and submit accurate aircraft flight records and expenses.
    • Maintain currency of all electronic charts, databases, iPads, documents, etc. as required and in orderly manner.
    • Assist the Chief Aviation Officer as necessary and as directed. in the evaluation and implementations of new and emerging technologies, equipment, procedures, safety and compliance concerns related to flight operations.
    • Coordinate with the Chief of Maintenance or their designee when away from homebase to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft, accomplishment of required maintenance, and appropriate record keeping.
    • Perform other duties as necessary and directed.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of education and experience.
    • ATP Certificate - Multiengine Land.
    • Valid First Class Medical, FCC Restricted Radio Permit and current US Passport.
    • Simulator current within twelve months (desired).
    • PIC Type Rating in Lear Jet 45 (desired).
    • Must have 3,500 hours total time as Pilot In Command, 2,500 Logged Hours in Multiengine Aircraft as Pilot In Command, 1,000 Logged Hours in Turbojet Aircraft as Pilot In Command and 150 Logged Hours in Make and Model as Pilot In Command (desired).
    • 5 years of corporate flight experience.
    • Must reside within a 45 minute commute as this position requires frequent travel, irregular schedules, and a wide variety of administrative responsibilities in office as directed by Chief Aviation Officer when not flying.
