Captain/Pilot in Command (Large Jet) provides leadership and management of pilots, schedules, and records to maintain efficient and safe flight operations, comply with all FAA regulations, and deliver operational performance on company goals. Maintains the required FAA records and documentation for certifications, crews, flight times, aircraft, and activity. Being a Captain/Pilot in Command (Large Jet) keeps informed about current aviation developments and regulations that impact flight operations. Coordinates pilot training and development plans to ensure all are ready for flight duty. Additionally, Captain/Pilot in Command (Large Jet) uses the Safety Management System (SMS) to identify, mitigate, and manage risk in operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Requires Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. Requires FAA Commercial Pilot's License. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Captain/Pilot in Command (Large Jet) manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Captain/Pilot in Command (Large Jet) typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. This is a remote position with competitive compensation ranging from $157,241 to $160,000 per year.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the safety of the aircraft, flight crew, passengers, and cargo
    • Comply with all federal regulations and company policies and procedures
    • Ensure crew members are properly licensed, rested, and flight ready
    • Plan flight assignments and obtain briefing information
    • Prepare and file flight plans considering all applicable factors
    • Supervise crew members and ensure proper planning and flight preparation
    • Ensure aircraft is pre-flighted, loaded, equipped, and manned for the flight assignment
    • Supervise loading and distribution of cargo and passengers
    • Comply and participate in Safety Management System
    • Prepare flight logs, records, and maintenance forms
    • Ensure aircraft airworthiness per maintenance release procedures
    • Assume role of Inflight Security Coordinator and Ground Security Coordinator
    • Stay highly knowledgeable of regulations, flight manuals, and other relevant instructions
    Qualifications:
    • Airline Transport Pilot
    • Valid Passport
    • FCC RROP
    • First Class Medical
    • Required Experience:
    • 2000 hours total flight time
    • 1000 hours Pilot in Command
    • 500 hours Jet/Turbine
    • 100 hours Instrument
    • Preferred Education and Experience:
    • 4-year degree
    • 3000 hours total flight time
    • 1500 hours Pilot in Command
    • 1000 hours Jet/Turbine
    •  LR-JET or LR45 Type Rating
