Captain/Pilot in Command (Small Jet) pilots aircraft following standard operating procedures to ensure that flights operate according to all regulations, safety, and company policies. Follows required procedures to perform pre-flight checks and inspections. Being a Captain/Pilot in Command (Small Jet) determines flight routes, speed, take-off, and landing times that will fulfill scheduling requirements. Completes required documentation and performs post-flight procedures as required. Additionally, Captain/Pilot in Command (Small Jet) may require a bachelor's degree. Requires Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. Requires FAA Commercial Pilot's License. Typically reports to chief pilot. The Captain/Pilot in Command (Small Jet) work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Captain/Pilot in Command (Small Jet) typically requires 7+ years of related experience. On behalf of our Part 91 client, we are looking for G600 pilots to join this well settled Flight Department- this role is Homebased and will allow you to commute from anywhere in the United States. we are adding headcount to this already great team, where you can expect the aircraft will fly approximately 70 – 80 flights per year, 200 hours avg per crew in total, flying all over the globe. The extra pilots will allow for a crew rotation every 30 – 60 days.
The pilot in command reports to the lead captain regarding company operating policies and procedures. The pilot in command is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of the flight assignment with the emphasis on safety, security, and quality. Will exercise pilot in command authority of all flights to which they are assigned and are the final authority for the safe conduct of the flight.
