Applicants should be skilled in the following areas: blood drawing, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, pharmacy and nursing care. Will train the right person.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Anesthesia- Carry out all duties involved in the induction and maintenance of anesthesia for animals (may include but is not limited to induction, cathiterization, intubation, maintenance, surgical prep and scrub). Must be able to account for all controlled substances during anesthesia and set up surgical stations and equipment according to appropriate procedures.
Radiology- Demonstrate basic knowledge of equipment and controls. Be familiar with participant imaging needs and basic requirements to obtain images
Clean Up- Break down equipment, clean dry and return to original order. Pack and sterilize materials as needed.
Animal Care Provider- Provide treatment to animals when required, consistent with acceptable veterinary medical practice under the guidance of veterinarian. Provide post-surgical care to animals; maintain animal housing areas in clean sanitary condition. Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Must have strong work ethic, enjoy working in a positive team atmosphere, passion for all animals, providing upstanding customer service and "can-do" attitude. Weekend and some holiday work required. Please do not call the clinic.
