Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager plans and implements the overall policies, procedures, and services of the cardiac catheterization lab. Ensures efficient and effective lab operations, including quality control and compliance with regulations and policies. Being a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager supports Cardiologists with service delivery and resources. May be responsible for hiring and training of new employees as well as budgetary control for the lab. Additionally, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a director. The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. What You Will Do as a Laboratory Manager:
- Schedule production runs for maximized throughput and quality
- Hire, train, motivate, coach and develop staff for growth and lab skills
- Maintain equipment, records, inventory and SOPs
- Troubleshoot vaccine production complications and execute resolutions
Requirements of a Laboratory Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in related field (Biology, Chemistry, Animal Science, etc) OR 3-5 years experience in biologics industry AND 2 years in a leadership role
- Virus production, bacterial fermentation and/or formulation/filling experience preferred
- Must be knowledgeable in aseptic technique and processing, and autoclave operation
- Requires high attention to detail and strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs to shoulder, maneuver up to 110lbs with mechanical aid
- Familiar with and ability to adhere to USDA regulations
