Cardio-Pulmonary Perfusionist sets up and operates heart/lung machines that support organ function during cardiac surgery or other procedure where circulatory or respiratory function is disrupted. Operates equipment to produce bypass, coronary perfusion, recirculation or partial bypass, or to alter blood temperature, balance, or content. Being a Cardio-Pulmonary Perfusionist requires an advanced degree. Requires a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) credential. Additionally, Cardio-Pulmonary Perfusionist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Cardio-Pulmonary Perfusionist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. The CPACS Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operation of CPACS equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, reporting and other related activities. Manages, coordinates, and organizes teamwork to cover support fixes as needed, assigning the proper resources and ensure customer satisfaction. Works closely with all Cardiovascular Services, referring physicians, nursing staff, HIS, and other related health care staff.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience required.
Minimum Work Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience with computer systems preferably at the programmer level.
Intensive experience in working with and problem shooting information systems.
Two (2) years of experience in all levels of Information Processing environment required, (computer Operations, Desktop Support, Network Infrastructure, Server System Administration, DBA).

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Knowledge of networking and Dicom applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures (or similar Departmental experience) required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Three (3) years of broad information systems experience in a hospital or outpatient Facility required.
Considerable experience in developing/contributing and accountability for budget.
