Cardiology Director leads and directs the staff and programs of the cardiology department. Works closely with hospital staff and physicians to implement standards for patient care that comply with all laws and regulations. Being a Cardiology Director ensures the department meets the current needs and addresses the future needs of patients by introducing new technologies, services, and procedures. This position does not require MD. Additionally, Cardiology Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to an executive. The Cardiology Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Cardiology Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     HSHS Director of Cardiology

     

    Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) has an exciting opportunity for a Director-Cardiology to our Hospital Sisters Health System Eastern Wisconsin leadership team.

    The Director reports directly to the HSHS Cardiac Service Line Executive Director and is a collaborative leader comfortable managing within a matrix environment.  The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in leading the overall operational and financial activities of the procedural and Pre/post Cardiac units. The Director will also be key in the strategic planning for Cardiology Services to effectively staff and meet the needs of the organization.

     

    Based in Green Bay, WI

    • Focus on operational and financial leadership of Cardiology for HSHS Eastern WI Hospitals.
    • Reports directly to Cardiac Service Line Executive Director
    • Located in Green Bay, Wisconsin
    • Base salary

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other clinical discipline is required.
    • Master’s degree business or other healthcare related discipline is preferred.

     

    Experience

    • 2 years critical care, emergency room or charge nurse experience or 2 years Echocardiography, Radiologic Technology, Vascular Ultrasound, Respiratory Therapy, or other clinical related experience is required.
    • 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience is required.

     

    Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

    • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois or Wisconsin is required.
    • Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
    • May also consider registration in a cardiology clinical related discipline such as Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS); Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS); Registered Cardiac Interventional Specialist (RCIS); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); Registered Technologist of Radiography (RTR); Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or other cardiology registration
