Works closely with hospital staff and physicians to implement standards for patient care that comply with all laws and regulations. Being a Cardiology Director ensures the department meets the current needs and addresses the future needs of patients by introducing new technologies, services, and procedures. This position does not require MD. Additionally, Cardiology Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to an executive. The Cardiology Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Cardiology Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) has an exciting opportunity for a Director-Cardiology to our Hospital Sisters Health System Eastern Wisconsin leadership team.
The Director reports directly to the HSHS Cardiac Service Line Executive Director and is a collaborative leader comfortable managing within a matrix environment. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in leading the overall operational and financial activities of the procedural and Pre/post Cardiac units. The Director will also be key in the strategic planning for Cardiology Services to effectively staff and meet the needs of the organization.
