We are searching for a Device Specialist Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology team. In this role, you will provide assessment and programming of implantable pacemakers and defibrillators and troubleshoot complex arrhythmias. Our cardiology team works closely with the experts at the Heart and Vascular Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, frequently collaborating with our colleagues on patient care plans. Together we find the most effective ways to give patients’ hearts a healthier life.

Responsibilities:

• Provides assessment and programming of implantable pacemakers and defibrillators by interpreting the technical and physiological functions of various vendor-specific implantable devices.
• Provides routine device interrogations, pacing, and sensing threshold testing along with troubleshooting complex arrhythmias.
• Completes device evaluations in the hospital and cardiology clinic.
• Liaison to the cardiology billing and coding staff.
• Provides patient education to device and arrhythmia patients, enrolls patients into remote follow-up services, and completes device interrogations from remote follow-up transmissions.
• Coordinates office and procedure scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN License.
• 5 years of cardiac care experience is required.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours/week
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
• NO WEEKENDS!
