  • A New York City health services network is currently seeking a new Manager of Cardiology for a promising opportunity at one of their facilities in the Bronx. In this role, the Manager of Cardiology will be responsible for assisting in the daily department operations, specifically the Nuclear Medicine Department.

    Responsibilities:

    The Manager of Cardiology will:
    • Supervise and direct modality staffs and activities of: NUCLEAR MEDICINE, PET/CT, ECHO, EKG/Phlebotomy and EEG
    • Prepare, balance and posts work schedules for the staff to assure coverage year round
    • Provide Medical Assistant EKG re-certification by re-evaluating skills annually and assign MUSE number
    • Provide EKG and Regular stress exams when needed
    • Provide business acumen to administration and update policy and procedure manual
    • Perform nuclear medicine diagnostic testing and radioactive isotope therapeutic treatments on inpatients and outpatients
    • Provide patient imaging services in Nuclear Medicine as required for all patient types and insures the use of two patient identifiers for all procedures
    • Evaluate procedures using the appropriate imaging protocols.    
    • Assist with the maintenance and care of departmental equipment and supplies
    • Maintain departmental records, reports and files as required    
    • Keep rooms clean, stocked, and ready for patient procedures
    • Perform other duties, as needed
    Qualifications:
    • 3 years of experience as a Supervisor
    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology and specific additional education for the modality.
    • Nuclear Medicine Technology Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Therapy (NMRT) certification / licensure
    • Solid assessment and documentation skills
    Desired Skills:
    • 3 years of experience as a Supervisor
    • BCLS certification
