The American Job Centers (AJCs) assist customers in achieving self-sufficient, sustainable employment on a career path toward continued growth opportunities. The Youth Career Advisor is responsible for administering the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funded youth programs and services, such as assistance obtaining a high school equivalency diploma, funding assistance for postsecondary training, paid work experience opportunities, supportive services, apprenticeship program, and training programs administered to justice-involved individuals. The Youth Career Advisor will ensure youth participants have access to the 14 Youth Program Elements that make up the youth program. This position will be required to collaborate with the business services team, secondary schools, postsecondary institutions, partner programs in the AJCs, and community organization to connect the with programs and services through the administration of the 14 Youth Elements. This position is required to travel between Benton, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer County, Gibson, Henry, Lake, Obion and Weakley Counties.

Travel between counties to enroll customer and set up work experience worksites as necessary. Sedentary: Desk work; standard office settings.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum salary is $33,500 annually ($17.18 per hour). With additional experience pay increases to a maximum of $41,900.
