Carpenter jobs in Escondido, CA
Carpenter constructs, maintains, and remodels buildings or related structures. Installs, fixes, or modifies all aspects of a building, including walls, ceilings, floors, and stairs, as well as related structures like railings, doors, windows, and air conditioning systems. Being a Carpenter follows blueprints and plans to ensure requirements and specifications are met. Observes all worksite safety procedures and guidelines. Additionally, Carpenter inspects buildings to determine repair that needs to be done. An apprenticeship and/or formal training may be required. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Carpenter works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Carpenter to join our team! In this role, you will construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using the carpenter’s hand and power tools.
The ideal candidate is hard-working and dedicated to producing quality work. If you are an experienced Carpenter with a positive attitude, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities :
- Ability to drive dump truck with trailer between jobs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Commercial Construction, Restaurant experience- metal stud framing, concrete & drywall REQUIRED
- Construct wood structures including framing, joists, and rafters
- Install fixtures and materials such as windows, flooring, trim, and hardware
- Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a Carpenter is required
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
- Commercial Construction, Restaurant experience- metal stud framing & drywall REQUIRED
- Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools, must have own tools and vehicles
- Knowledge of building regulations and codes, preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
