Installs, fixes, or modifies all aspects of a building, including walls, ceilings, floors, and stairs, as well as related structures like railings, doors, windows, and air conditioning systems. Being a Carpenter follows blueprints and plans to ensure requirements and specifications are met. Observes all worksite safety procedures and guidelines. Additionally, Carpenter inspects buildings to determine repair that needs to be done. An apprenticeship and/or formal training may be required. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Carpenter works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Summer associates will work at the largest personal injury litigation firm in the state of California that is responsible for the most plaintiff personal injury verdicts in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
Carpenter and Zuckerman is a true litigation firm that vigorously litigates its cases.
This is an 11-week summer associate program where you will be taught specific parts of the litigation process and then asked to employ what you learned on actual cases under the supervision of an attorney.
Summer Associates will learn from, and work alongside, some of the top civil litigators in the country.
Candidates should possess good writing skills, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and an interest to work in personal injury and civil litigation.
Upon completion of the program, summer associates who performed well will be offered a part-time position over their 3L year and a post bar associate position.
This position has a start date of May 21, 2024 and will end in August 2024.
