Cartographic Technician jobs in Akron, OH

Company based in Brooklyn Heights is currently seeking Technicians. These position just became available and we are looking for qualified individuals to join their growing team!

General Responsibilities:

Maintain warehouse product through compliance with Company process and procedures. Utilize database software and to ensure accurate and timely inventories. Protect inbound assets from scratches and damages, and clean outbound assets when redeploying to customer. Maintain accurate audit trail of warehoused product. Perform on-site customer services. Assist with refurbishment of pre-owned inventory for sale as needed.

Specific Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Asset Management
  • Handle, clean, store, and fill inbound and outbound inventory of customer product
  • Learn and remember stored assets and be able to identify each customer's inventory
  • Scan assets and refurb inventory in and out of the SnapTracker asset management system
  • Maintain quality assurance and accuracy of SnapTracker database
  • Understand office furniture equipment and product, including model numbers and their applications
• Services
  • Perform cleaning of customer product (ex. chairs, panels, and glass)
  • Treat fabrics for stain resistance (fabricoate)
  • Visit customer sites as scheduled by services manager
• Refurbishing
  • Refurbish and reupholster product for resale
  • Operate workshop equipment and tools safely and efficiently
  • Identify, estimate, and communicate any discrepancies or additional costs incurred by alterations to products
• Expectations
  • Take accountability for time, and track all labor toward job costs
  • Maintain a neat, presentable warehouse
  • Conduct yourself professionally toward customers and co-workers
  • Meet customer deadlines and company expectations
  • Comply with all safety regulations and job standards

Requirements

• Education or Equivalent Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of warehouse inventory experience
  • Experience with office furniture or Steelcase Systems furniture is preferred
  • Ability to identify product components such as cantilevers, end panels, and brackets

• Special Training or Skills Required
  • SnapTracker scanner and system training
  • Tow motor / stock picker operation

Shift

• Monday - Friday. 7:15am - 3:15pm.
