About the Hospital: For over two decades, this short-term acute care hospital has provided high quality care to patients in the surrounding communities, offering advanced medical services including Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical Services, Oncology Services, Maternity and Pediatric Care, and Spine Care. About the Job: The Case Management Nurse Manager will assist the Nurse Director with oversight of the care coordination team, as well as the coordination and direction of all inpatient care. The Nurse Manager will be in charge of the utilization management program; ensuring appropriate authorization, adequate patient discharge planning, and maintaining currency in utilization management guidelines to optimize and improve patient care outcomes. The Case Management Nurse Manager will work closely with the Medical Director, the Quality Management Coordinator, and Risk Manager to drive performance improvement protocols. The Nurse Manager of Case Management will lead the Utilization Management Committee, educate current staff on UM guidelines, as well as provide onboarding to new hires for current hospital care management practices.
Requirements include: Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN Degree, 4 years hospital-based Case Management experience, 2 years of experience in a nursing supervisory role. Specialty certification and Master of Science Degree highly preferred.
