    The Clinical Manager will facilitate a positive group process that encourages effective and efficient client-related communication; leads to positive client outcomes; shares the workload among the team and coordinates the effective completion of clinical documentation.  An effective team will promote the interdependence of the team members and demonstrate the group’s commitment to high quality services and customer (consumers, payers, families, community) satisfaction.  Teams provide a powerful opportunity to increase customer satisfaction and positive outcomes, as well as opportunities for staff development, satisfaction, and meaningful challenge.  The team leader's job is to help maximize the team's performance in all these areas.

    Recommend hire and retain competent, energetic, and knowledgeable staff.  Assure them of high quality clinical/administrative supervision.  Give them information and feedback of where they stand in relation to meeting quality and productivity standards and as necessary, with reasonable corrective action plans.  Work with the Vice President of Clinical Operations, Youth and Family Services, IT and the Vice President of Finance & Administration to effectively describe staff productivity, budget variances and other information that will assist the team in its self-monitoring and improvement processes.

    Collaborate with the Vice President of Clinical Operations, Youth & Family Services to develop and implement a staff training protocol to quickly bring new staff up to speed and productivity.

    Support and challenge team members to assume both therapeutic and case management functions to clients and families that increase successful role competencies of consumers and families.

    Assist in the development of peer-support, family education, and other mutual supportive resources for the consumer’s and families’ needs.

    Clinical Managers, along with other Youth & Family Services management staff, will work to improve all Youth & Family services and to promote a high level of commitment to actualizing the mission of the program.  This includes the use of the results from the Consumer Satisfaction Survey administered by UNH in partnership with the IOD to assess consumer satisfaction and the satisfaction of other partner agencies and referral sources.

    The Clinical Manager is also a clinician for approximately 30% of her/his/their time.  In this role, the Clinical Manager carries a caseload, performs intake evaluations, provides direct individual and family psychotherapy, case management and serves as a consultant to team members.  This direct service aspect keeps the clinical manager close to the day-to-day work of team members and a true partner in the team process.  The expertise, clinical skill and success of the team leader will allow him/her to earn the respect and loyalty of team members. 

    Participate and represent the team on the Center’s QI, Compliance and other management committees and work groups as assigned by Vice President of Clinical Operations - Youth and Family Services.  .

    Participate in community based collaborative initiatives with other child serving agencies as assigned or approved by Vice President of Clinical Operations - Youth and Family Services.

    Assure team compliance with Federal, State, Center and other third party standards.

    Minimum of a Master's degree in a mental health/human service field.  Three to five years progressive supervisory and management experience in an outpatient mental health setting and specific experience with programs for children, adolescents, and families preferred. The Clinical Manager must be licensed or eligible (if eligible, shall seek licensure), in the State of New Hampshire.  CPR and First Aid training is recommended.

    Seacoast Mental Health Center, Inc. offers a generous compensation package including paid time off, health and dental plans, retirement account match, etc.  Applicants may be eligible for the NH State Loan Repayment program for up to $45,000 with a 3 year commitment  We also provide Licensing Supervision with a 2 year commitment after receiving License.
