    As a Business Manager in the Deposits and Cash Management Business team, you will support the General Manager of Deposits and Cash Management by working across team, and Commercial & Community Banking (CCB) more broadly, to support our most important initiatives.  General job duties are reflective of a Chief of Staff such as influencing core business planning, setting the agenda and cadence for our leadership meetings, coordinating our monthly business reviews, and ensuring execution of high priority initiatives.  There also may be special projects that will come up that this person will drive, often in partnership with others across Business Banking and CCB.  

    This is a role for a person who thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaboration, discipline, and strategic thinking are the norm.  The successful candidate will be able to manage through influence, meeting deliverable deadlines with high quality work, and ensure an effective team environment. The candidate will need to possess a strong intellect and have a proven track record of influencing, excellent verbal and written communication skills and working with a senior management team.

      Job responsibilities

    • This role will report to the GM of Deposits and Cash Management and be responsible for a range of activities including structuring and organizing our Business Reviews and leadership communications, coordinating priority initiatives, and ensuring we have the right tracking and reporting in place for major programs.
    • Provide recommend inputs for financial and operational planning to support the budget and planning process.
    • Prepare, shape, and guide executive presentations for Leadership at various forums, committees, business reviews and management meetings (i.e., Town Hall, Offsite, ad-hoc management meetings) by organizing complex information in a strategic and compelling way
    • Identify and track metrics to ensure achievement of priorities.
    • Establish overall meeting cadence and management routines within Deposits and Cash Management 
    • Build strong connections to key stakeholders across the firm to ensure clarity of objectives and alignment to overall strategic focus
    • Act as a culture setter and culture carrier by coordinating key planning, team building, communication, and celebration events where appropriate.
    • Provide independent, informed, unbiased insight/feedback to the GM and leadership team

    Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

    • Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
    • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality presentations and/or reporting for various projects and stakeholders with strong attention to detail
    • Demonstrated ability in dealing with different stakeholder groups and driving the agenda
    • Excellent communication, organization and project management skills
    • Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in decisions
    • Intermediate to advanced level ability expected in PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Teams
    • Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong time management and prioritization skills
    • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with ability to synthesize and integrate varied data sets.

    Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

    Minimum of 5 years in financial services industry preferred
