We currently have an opportunity for a Cash Manager in College Point, NY. The Cash Manager will be a key person to control the flow of cash in and out of the company, to improve the cash position of the company and to ensure accurate forecasting to help the company meet its business and investment needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in the monthly cash flow forecasting process and provide variance analysis along with explanations.
    • Monitor collections and payments of each business unit on a weekly basis and provide analysis comparing them with forecasted cash flow.
    • Manage funds allocation for each business unit, adapted to the weekly evolution of their cash position compared to the forecast.
    • Anticipate cash needs or excess in the next 6 months for each business unit, to allow the company to plan for the right financial instruments to borrow or invest in the most favorable way.
    • Monitor billings, collections, and accounts receivable on a weekly basis.
    • Be in contact with our clients’ finance department to obtain first-hand information on collection status.
    • Track action items to recover aged accounts receivable and retainages, with business unit leaders.
    • Detect patterns of delayed billing submissions to clients or collections and help the business units identify process improvements to mitigate these situations.
    • Participate in the month end process, audits and projects as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
    • 5 years of relevant business work experience.
    • 2 years specifically working in a Treasury capacity.
    • Experience using large ERP systems.
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Working knowledge and understanding of the US Construction industry preferred.
