Service Management Systems is hiring 1 Housekeeping Lead and 1 Housekeeping Supervisor
***Starting pay wage is $14/hr Lead $16/hr for Supervisor***

Summary: Keeps premises of commercial and institutional buildings in clean and orderly
condition by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.

• Assist Facility Manger with scheduling
• Assist with administrative duties, daily log sheets and inspections
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and floors and other work areas.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Lifting chairs and place them over tables (approx. chair weight: 20-25 lbs.)
• Moving chemicals (5 gal buckets - approx. weight 40 lbs.)
• Moving tables (approx. weight 40 lbs.)
• Operates different types of equipment (i.e. burnishers, scrubbers, pressure washer)
• Uses Man Lift or Scissor Lift Machine, operating floor scrubber, and various cleaning equipment.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills

Prior experience in janitorial housekeeping preferredLanguage Ability:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Math Ability:Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.Computer Skills:Basic computer skills desired but not required.Certificates and Licenses:No certifications neededSupervisory Responsibilities:Supervision of shift responsibility, handling employee issuesWork Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
