Position Summary: Manage warehouse staff and the shipping and receiving of merchandise.
Shift: Monday-Friday (10:30 am - 07:00 pm) Additional hours and weekends may apply.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
q Supervises hourly associates.
q Help with the selection & interviewing of staff, coaching and counseling, performance management & leadership development.
q Carries out established operational procedures for incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and merchandise distribution.
q Manages a safe workplace by advocating safety training and accident preparedness.
q Helps carry out daily production goals and monitors performance to achieve goals.
q Lead and develop a team to maximize their overall efficiency and ensure a high degree of safety, service, and quality.
q Assists in training team members on distribution processes and equipment..
q Comply with company policies, procedures, and expected standards of behavior.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has supervisory responsibilities for many supervisory and warehouse positions.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Three years of logistics experience in a fast-paced distribution center and three years of progressive supervisory and financial administrative experience.
Language Skills: Analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate information in verbal or written format and effectively respond to questions from managers, clients, employees, customers, and the general public.
Must be bilingual in Spanish.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages as well as draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to correctly read, interpret and process lengthy strings of individual digits in their correct order.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
