JOB SUMMARY
Cash Poster will be responsible for appropriately posting payments both electronically and manually and EOBs in the billing tool and ensure that daily cash from the lockbox is reconciled to patient accounts; maintaining accurate medical billing records; documenting and processing payments from insurance companies and patients; and strong attention to detail is critical. Strong communication and troubleshooting skills are required to manage unbalanced remittance advice directly with payers. Responsible for tracking, reporting and addressing complex outstanding claims. You will manage documentation for appropriate payer communication, correspondence, and insurance claim research. Working with our billing tool provider, you will drive payment for our services by partnering with colleagues in Patient Accounts.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 1-3 years recent experience in both professional and facility health care claims posting, including knowledge of health plan regulations and processes with high volume and/or multiple accounts.

Must have strong mathematical skills evidenced by a prior history of month end and quarter end close in prior roles.
⚬
Experience with managing incoming cash from multiple lockboxes, ACH payment, and wire transfer.
⚬
Experience with EDI enrollment, Payer Portal setup & management are a plus.
