The right person will need to be great with people, remember names, be friendly, knowledgeable, flexible and open to learning. You must be at least 18 years of age, have your own transportation and be you must be willing to work hard. We have a great team and positive atmosphere here.

Our store constantly changes with new groceries and new challenges. It's like Christmas morning everyday! We are seeking someone with experience in this area. The more the better. As a "Cashier/ Stock person"( we have to call it something), you will be responsible for ensuring that the store shelves are fully stocked and organized, providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Responsibilities - Interact with customers on a daily basis. Smile and greet each person. Be friendly, observant and kind. Take them through the checkout when they're ready- Continuously stock shelves, straighten and organize racks, and displays with new merchandise.- Ensure that products are properly labeled, displayed correctly, and priced correctly. Our store rapidly changes with new items being added or changed daily.

- Rotate stock to maintain freshness and minimize waste- Monitor inventory levels of items and restock as necessary. Taking initiative and not wasting time is important.

- Assist customers in locating products and provide excellent customer service- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the stockroom and sales floor area- Follow safety protocols and Valley Discount's Procedures at all times

Skills:- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Have a sense of urgency in everything that you do!

Excellent attention to detail ( You should notice things and be observant)- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi tasking environment( Don't be bothered if you're pulled in four or five directions. Ex: Customer is ready to check out, the phone rings and you're in the middle of stocking)- Multilingual skills are a plus, multi-tasking is essential.- Knowledge of phone etiquette for assisting customers with inquiries or directing them to the appropriate department.- Familiarity with retail sales is a plus ( encourage people to try products you like)- Proficiency in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions If you are a motivated individual with a passion for providing exceptional customer service and WANT to work at a place that would appreciate you, we would love to hear from you.
