POSITION SUMMARY:
Operates cash register and remote computer for assigned shift. Provides efficient and courteous service to customers within the Hospital. Maintains knowledge of all cafeteria menu items and portions to correctly charge customers. Counts, balances and records daily sales and drawer cash bank following established procedures. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
At least two years experience handling cash in a high volume operation.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Serve Safe Food handler certification required to be completed within 30 days of hire.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Familiarity with computer and keyboard preferred. Ability to operate cash register. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of staff and with patients, visitors and members of the community. Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve complaints. Basic math skills. Successful completion of annual job specific competencies and skill verification tools required.
