Category Management Analyst provides insights and recommendations to optimize new product introductions, distribution, shelving, price, and promotional mix by analyzing marketing and customer data. Responsible for driving category growth within the categories assigned, optimizing product assortment, ensuring competitive pricing, and creating marketing initiatives to promote category sales and customer engagement. Being a Category Management Analyst analyzes and assesses category/brand performance to develop enhanced marketing and sales plans and promotions. Conducts market-specific assessments of competitors, vendors, and customers to support decisions and influence management. Additionally, Category Management Analyst monitors competitor pricing and adjusts strategies accordingly. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Category Management Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Strong a **nalytics, insights, presentation, and storytelling** skills Build, update, and refresh **weekly and monthly dashboards** (weekly POS monthly category recaps) Participate in the **development of category presentations** incorporating **syndicated data** and other sources of data that address business issues Work closely with **CPG Category Management** and **Space Technology** teams to ensure quality results are delivered Keep abreast of client’s **KPIs, strategies, innovation** , and other important information. Leverage the relationship with the client to understand key **retailer deliverables** , **category strategies,** and **project timelines** Category Analyst/Manager **Certification** a plus **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education Requirements:** Bachelor's Degree Related work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement Category Management Certification preferred **Work Experience Requirements:** 1 – 3 years related experience **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:** Demonstrate an advanced degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, VB, and advanced macros. Experience **Nielsen, Circana (IRI),** or other **syndicated** data sources **.** Clearly and concisely **communicate** relevant information.
