JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the preparation of ingredients and stations used in the cooking process, as well as maintaining the kitchen and ensuring it is clean and sanitized.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
- Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Prepare dishes, such as salads and entrees.
- Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
- Knows proper food handling techniques (i.e. time and temperature, raw items, safety/sanitation)
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
- Good presentation, attention to detail
- Daily transportation with company vehicle between locations
- Open availability, including weekends and evenings
Requirements
PHYSICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be comfortable standing long hours and lifting up to 40 pounds as well as team lifting up to 60 pounds. Comfortable working outside as well as inside, and off site at events with various weather conditions.
Experience: One-year minimum experience in a catering or restaurant environment
