Kitchen is in Smithfield, future office in Clayton, and our events are throughout the triangle area and Johnston County.
We are looking for another Catering Sales and Events Manager to handle on and off premise event sales and general customer service duties for our catering company. In this position, you will promote the company and help us find new customers and build and maintain venue and wedding planner relationships. You will also play a part in hiring and event managing 1-2 events per week. Our ideal applicant has both sales and catering experience. We are a fast-growing, family-owned business with ample career growth opportunities. This position can grow into a General Manager or Catering Director position in a couple years. As well as a long-term partnership opportunity.
Catering Sales and Event Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Find new venues, clients, and planners for our company
- Negotiate contracts
- Training staff
- Help plan the menu and logistics for each event
- Venue site visits
- Rental meetings
- Private and group tastings
- Manage events
- Drive catering truck to and from events
- Manage relationships with repeat customers
Catering Sales Manager Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality (preferred)
- 5 years catering, management, and sales experience
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Extremely organized
- Negotiation skills
- Culinary/food knowledge
- Valid driver’s license and transportation
- Open availability
Full-time Salary position Commission
Base $40k - $50k per year 4% food and beverage sales commissions
