The OSU Celebrations Catering Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction for a progressive and innovative catering department. The Catering Manager serves as the principal University Dining Services (UDS) catering representative and is accountable for carrying out a comprehensive catering vision for the Oklahoma State University community. The Catering Manager will need to possess demonstrated skills and knowledge in core catering competencies.
The competencies include: catering sales, food production, administrative and operational management, staff supervision, and development and culinary management. The Catering Manager will work to implement a dynamic and diverse vision of campus catering through, performance, productivity, financial integrity, service and quality. All other duties as assigned.
This position is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED and eight years of progressively responsible experience in food management. A Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or related field may be substituted for four years of related experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage and provide leadership for a diverse workforce;
Excellent time management skills;
Ability to anticipate and solve problems;
Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives;
Customer service acumen.
Driver's License required before hire
Food Handler's Permit/Serve Safe Certification required after hire
Demonstrated ability in supervising and training large staff, strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills. Work experience should demonstrate a progressive development of catering skills to include: menu planning, production and culinary implementation, service presentation, sales and event planning and implementation. Must have the ability to organize and communicate many details in a timely and thorough fashion. Excellent written and oral communications skill required. Must have outstanding organizational skills and have the ability to adjust quickly to changes and to deal with stressful situations while maintaining composure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Hospitality or related field.
