Position/Title: Machine Operator Thermal Forming
Reports to: Department Supervisor Wage/Salary Allocation: Plastics
Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates Thermal Forming machines to produce molded products or parts from plastic sheets. Preheats Thermal Forming machines to specified temperature and starts machine cycling. Maintains continuous attention to heat, position of tooling and vacuum pressure. Removes molded products from machine. Trim parts produced.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position:
1. High School graduate or equivalent
2. Must possess good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
3. Proficient use of shop math skills.
4. 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience operating industrial machines.
5. Must be competent in utilizing precision measuring equipment.
6. Knowledge of work holding devices and fixtures.
7. Read and understand blueprints, customer sketches, written specifications and/or drawings.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Maintain area around machinery in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
Attendance Requirements:
10-hour shift Monday through Thursday.
