Central Office Equipment Technician installs, repairs and maintains office machinery and equipment. Performs preventative maintenance, replaces parts , and updates software. Being a Central Office Equipment Technician documents maintenance and service cycles of the office devices. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Central Office Equipment Technician may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Central Office Equipment Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. We are looking to hire Entry Level Techs for this work. You will be doing installs primarily with equipment off the Ciena 6500 platform. This work could be a card add, shelf add, or even a wave server install. You will run and lace secondary power inside the frame as well as run and scope fiber and cat 6 cabling.
You want to get out of your home town and see the country... Must be willing to Travel 75% of the time.
