Ceramics Engineer, Sr. develops manufacturing processes and equipment for converting ceramics into useful products. Tests various combinations of materials to create ceramics that that are durable and economical. Being a Ceramics Engineer, Sr. researches and selects the appropriate hand and power tools to be used in the production process. Tests finished ceramics to ensure quality, consistency, and durability standards have been met according to specifications. Additionally, Ceramics Engineer, Sr. requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Ceramics Engineer, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Water/Wastewater Engineer reporting to our Bloomington, IL office with the flexibility to be based in either our Champaign, Lisle, Peoria, Springfield, Tinley Park, or St. Louis, MO office. In this role, you will be focused on water/wastewater/stormwater project management, as well as the planning, design and management of various civil engineering projects.
    Job Activities:
    • Manage, support, and build relationships with clients
    • Perform process design and execution of water and/or wastewater treatment projects from the conceptual phase through design completion
    • Manage projects from inception to completion
    • Participate in business development activities and proposals
    • Perform condition assessments/audits
    • Develop critical project objectives and performance goals, interacting with clients on technical matters as needed
    Specific Requirements include:
    • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master's degree preferred
    • 15 or more years of Water/Wastewater Process Engineering experience
    • Professional Engineer (PE) License
    • Strong project management, communication and organizational skills
