This is a Full-time, Exempt Position reporting to the Director of PSC at our Santa Fe, NM location. Minimal travel required. PSC is a leading provider of equipment and solutions for the location, identification, and characterization of radioactive materials. We serve a wide range of clients in the nuclear industry, offering state-of-the-art equipment, systems, and consultancy support. Our focus is on delivering state-of-the-art criticality detection and alarm systems and providing radiometric services and solutions for complex nuclear materials assay, identification, shielding, segregation and ultimate waste disposition certification programs. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team.
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities: As an Electrical Engineer at PSC, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical components for our systems. Your responsibilities will include:
• Designing and optimizing electrical components for systems.
• Creating AutoCAD engineering drawings in compliance with applicable standards.
• Performing system calculations for electrical systems.
• Establishing system testing requirements and assisting in equipment inspections and startup.
• Collaborating with project managers, physicists, senior engineers, and technicians to meet project deliverables, contract requirements, and budget constraints.
• Reviewing technical vendor submittals for installation requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and quality requirements.
• Supporting compliance with Quality Assurance requirements according to PSC, customer, national, and international standards.
• Developing project schedules and manpower requirements.
• Reviewing development plans for adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
• Creating and maintaining programmatic and technical documentation.
• Assisting with assembly, testing, and debugging during builds when required.
• Performing other duties as assigned and/or required.
Essential Job Requirements:
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans drawings, and models.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, to begin projects independently (or as assigned), and to bring projects (or assignments) to a satisfactory conclusion on a timely basis.

Required Education and Experience:

MUST BE A U.S. CITZENSHIP TO APPLY.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5 or more years of progressive responsible experience in electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical drafting tools, AutoCAD (or similar drafting program)
• Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
