Requirements:

• A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program (NBSTSA OR NCCT)
• BLS Certification
• Ability to work off shifts and pm shifts, take night and weekend call shifts.
• Strength in orthopedics preferred.
• Able to cover all specialties daily and on-call.

• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patients during pre-operation procedures.
• Performs preoperative preparations for the patient's skin, body, and medical equipment.
• May be required to transport the patient to and from the operating room.
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• Typically reports to a registered nurse.
