Certified Medication Technician administers prescribed medications to patients and maintains related medical records under immediate supervision. Administers medications using proper dosage, route, timing, and techniques. Being a Certified Medication Technician verifies the identity of the patient receiving medication. Records the name of the drug, the dosage, the time of administration, and any other relevant information on specified forms or records. Additionally, Certified Medication Technician takes vital signs and observes patient to detect response to medication. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. This is a 1st shift position (08:30am-5:00pm) in our Machine Shop Department. Potential applicants must be open to a changing schedule and overtime and working on weekends and holidays. Although this is a first shift position, hours may change based on production demands.
SUMMARY: Setups, maintains, and operates the lathe, milling machine, planer and power tools in Machine Shop. Works on routine assignment following established Standard Operational Procedures, and current Good manufacturing Practices..

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One year certification from college or technical school or four to seven years related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 2 more years of machine shop working experience and ability to operate the lathe, milling machine, planer and power tools. The knowledge of plastic/rubber mold and hands on repair experience. The pharmaceutical utilities and equipment working experience is the best. Ability to use common mechanical and electrical tools.
