Certified Medical Technician needed in ,Orono ME

Contract : 14 weeks

shift : 8hrs Evening

Pay :$15/hr

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team. As a Medication Technician, you will be responsible for administering medications to residents in a senior care facility. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medication administration procedures will ensure the well-being and safety of our residents.

Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Document medication administration accurately and timely
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Assist with medication inventory management and ordering as needed
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain resident confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management
- Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living as needed

Experience:
- Previous experience in assisted living, acute care, or senior care settings preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical systems, and common medications
- Familiarity with caregiving principles and practices
- Experience in home care, medical office, or hospital settings is a plus

Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration
- Strong organizational skills to manage medication schedules and documentation
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to resident care
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
