Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care jobs in South Dakota
Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care performs various direct patient care activities in a long-term care environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care provides support and companionship to patients. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Job Summary
Transport residents, bathe and dress, comb hair, clean teeth and care for nails.
Make beds, feed residents and perform other duties as assigned.
May take and record temperature, pulse, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
Keep record of resident's food intake and output.
Answer call lights and deliver messages.
Education
CNA certificate within 4 months of hire.
Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
Speak and understand English.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Nurse assistant experience helpful.
Training is provided.
Work Schedule
6:00pm-6:30am; 2:00pm-10:30pm: E/O wknd/hol, occas call; 80hrs/2wks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$ $24.00 per hour
