Summary:
The Associate Chaplain is a full clinical member of the health care team, providing services for the pastoral/spiritual needs and education of patients, families, team members. The chaplain is knowledgeable in the areas of theology, spirituality, and pastoral care. The chaplain is competent to perform pastoral care functions as needed to support the spiritual and emotional health and well being of those served. 4 Units of Clinical Pastoral Education in lieu of experience is acceptable. Bachelor's degree in any field is acceptable with 5 years Pastoral Ministry Health Care experience. 10 years of Pastoral Ministry Health Care experience is acceptable in lieu of Bachelor's degree. 800 hours Clinical Pastoral Education is Required.
