Chaplain - Healthcare jobs in Hutchinson, KS

Wheat State Manor is a small, non-profit nursing home owned and supported by 9 area churches. We have a long history of providing quality care to elders in Whitewater and surrounding communities. We are currently seeking a part- time chaplain to support our community spiritually, emotionally and culturally.

Job duties include but not limited to:

• Provides and/or facilitates religious services or memorials.
• Works with owner churches to coordinate and facilitate the missions of the churches and Wheat State Manor.
• Serves as a liaison between the pastors of the owner churches and the facility.
• Provides spiritual support to elders and family members.
• Demonstrates effective communication with patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Assesses for spiritual and religious strengths/needs.
• Makes regular visits to all owner churches to communicate and coordinate religious activities.

Education and experience requirements:

Graduate of an accredited School of Theology (seminary or equivalent), relevant experience may substitute for educational qualification.
