Under the direction of a certified chaplain supervisor of Pastoral Care, the chaplain resident assists with the direct ministry to patients and their families; participates in the educational structure for the chaplain residents; assists, as assigned, with an administrative responsibility of the Department; cooperates and collaborates with other departments in ministry and assists in effecting new programs; assists in strengthening the department's inter-hospital relationships and as time permits, assists with the department's community relations. Masters of Religion or Masters of Divinity degree from an accredited school with A.A.T.A. or requisite nationalacademic accrediting body, Good standing with denomination or faith group; ordained, lay or professed, Certifiable by the Assoc. of Professional Chaplains, o Incumbent as well as external and internal applicants who become disabled must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without the assistance of reasonable accommodation as determined on a case by case basis.
