Protestant Chaplain Services Scope of Work
The chaplain will work up to 40 hours per week, up to 52 weeks a year, providing Spiritual Services and conducting Protestant and nondenominational worship services for patients at New York city .
Duties include:
• Coordinate the Pastoral Care Program at SLPC, schedule & coordinate services with other chaplain(s), and complete annual review and revision of the Pastoral Care Policy.
• Conduct three services weekly on a day mutually agreed upon between the facility and the contractor. One service at the adult inpatient building, which may include patients from the SLATC, one at the Children & Youth Inpatient Program, and one service at the Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP) building;
• Provide spiritual care and counseling to patients and their families;
• Facilitate faith, spirituality, and related classes to patients in the adult inpatient, CY inpatient, & SOTP programs;
• Attend meetings, including treatment team meetings, as requested by the facility, department, or treatment team;
• Attend community events, as requested by the facility;
• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions for patients;
• Provide any of the aforementioned services to the patients at SLATC, when requested and approved by the facility Business Office;
• Complete other related duties as requested by the facility.
The chaplain will work 40 hours per week.
