  • Chef 21 is a renowned culinary destination known for its exquisite cuisine. We are adding a variety of cooking classes where participants can learn new culinary skills, techniques, and recipes in a fun and interactive setting.

    Job Description:
    We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Cooking Class Instructor to lead our cooking classes and share their passion for food with our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to create memorable and educational experiences for participants of all skill levels.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan, organize, and facilitate cooking classes and workshops for guests of varying skill levels and interests.
    • Develop engaging class curriculum, including recipes, cooking techniques, and culinary tips, to deliver a unique and enjoyable learning experience.
    • Provide clear and concise instructions, demonstrations, and hands-on guidance to participants throughout the cooking class.
    • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where participants feel comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences, and experimenting with new ingredients and flavors.
    • Ensure that all cooking classes run smoothly and efficiently, with proper preparation, setup, and cleanup of kitchen and cooking stations.
    • Offer personalized assistance and feedback to participants to help them improve their culinary skills and achieve their cooking goals.
    • Stay informed about current food trends, cooking methods, and culinary innovations to incorporate into class content and discussions.
    • Assist with marketing and promotion of cooking classes, including creating promotional materials, social media posts, and outreach to potential participants.
    • Collaborate with restaurant staff and management to coordinate scheduling, inventory management, and other logistical aspects of cooking classes.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working as a chef, culinary instructor, or cooking class facilitator preferred.
    • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and ingredient sourcing.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire participants of all ages and backgrounds.
    • Patient, supportive, and encouraging teaching style, with a passion for sharing culinary knowledge and empowering others to cook with confidence.
    • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate class schedules and events.
    • Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred.
    • Experience with event planning, marketing, or customer service is a plus.

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 12 – 18 per week
