    Kitchen Supervisor Chef

    Kitchen Supervisor Job Summary

    Start Date: ASAP

    Location: 15111 Hayden Rd, Suite 110, Scottsdale, AZ 85260

    Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM Monday Wednesday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM, Tuesday, Thursday Friday (until 2/25).

    Permanent Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday: 8:30 AM – 5 PM

    The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of the kitchen staff. This includes setting goals and targets, monitoring progress, and providing feedback and guidance to ensure that the kitchen staff is meeting the standards of the restaurant. The Kitchen Supervisor will maintain a safe and sanitary working environment and implement and enforce safety and sanitation standards.

    Kitchen Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, firing and performance reviews
    • Prepare, Cook Package Food in Accordance to Company Standards
    • Ensure all kitchen staff are properly trained and are following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
    • Ensure kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently
    • Monitor and maintain adequate kitchen inventory levels
    • Ensure that recipes and food preparation instructions are followed correctly
    • Monitor food quality and presentation
    • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
    • Assist in menu planning and development
    • Daily Inventory
    • Order product from vendors
    • Report to the Executive Chef

    Kitchen Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 5 years of experience as a chef in a scratch and gourmet kitchen
    • Intermediate knowledge of Google Docs/Microsoft Suite
    • Strong product yield knowledge
    • 1-3 years of kitchen management experience
    • Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
    • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
    • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
    • ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification
    • Ability to stand for 8 hours a day
    • Ability to fabricate proteins

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    As a prep cook, you are responsible for slicing and portioning cheeses, meats, jams and dips, bread, and accompaniments (nuts, dried fruit, etc.). Complete packaging of our house-made items (ie. salad dressings, dips, etc.).

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Food Handlers Card
    • 18 years of age
    • Legal to work in the U.S.
    • Slice and portion food products by our production prep list
    • Work fast in an efficient manner

    About Us

    Kale Chef Service is a Scottsdale-based gourmet catering company offering full service and catering delivery or pickup. We are a farm-to-table caterer with a focus on seasonal and scratch cooking techniques. We believe the best meals start with real food, whole ingredients.

    Job Description

    As an event chef, you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team in the production and packaging of food for our catering services. Working directly with the Executive Chef.

    In addition to preparing food, the event chef is responsible for transporting and setting up catering services for events. Ensuring everything that is needed is loaded into the company catering van. The Event Chef will set up events according to company standards.

    Some events will require the Event Chef to stay throughout and clean up after, break down the catering setup, and load the company van back up. Return to the kitchen and unload any refrigerated items back into the kitchen.

    Schedule

    The schedule will vary from week to week depending on the needs of the business. This position requires evening and weekend availability. Working with the kitchen team with event prep during the weekday, and attending events that may occur during the day, afternoon, evening, and weekends. We will provide 2 consecutive days off, per week, more than likely Sunday and Monday.

    Tentative Schedule: Tuesday – Thursday: 10 AM – 6:30 PM, Friday Saturday, 12:30 PM – 9 PM

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a scratch kitchen
