Banquet Manager

  • Job Overview:

    Looking for a Banquet Manager to Plan for and coordinate meetings and banquet functions, supervises activities of banquet employees and ensures banquet areas are kept organized and clean.

    Responsibilities:

    • Meets with sales department to project sales and determine staffing and equipment needs. Meets with clients before and during events to determine and meet guest needs and requests.
    • Oversees event set-up and service and ensures guest satisfaction and company standards are followed. Responds to requests, complaints, questions and concerns in order to satisfy guests.
    • Hires, orients, schedules, coaches, trains and motivates staff in compliance with departmental and company standards.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages. Ability to accurately handle cash, credit cards and checks. Ability to use basic accounting functions to balance deposits/daily work.
    • Certification in alcohol awareness.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
